Tustin Green Dream

This Tustin renovation focused on reworking the kitchen layout to better support how the home is used day to day, while introducing a warmer, more layered approach to the overall design. The existing kitchen felt limited in both function and connection to the surrounding spaces, so the scope centered on reimagining the space for the way the family lives rather than simply updating finishes.

From the early stages of the project, the layout was thoughtfully reworked to improve flow and function, with collaboration alongside the contractor to coordinate window additions and the overall execution of the space. One of the most impactful decisions was converting an underutilized laundry room into a dedicated butler’s pantry, creating additional storage and a more functional transition between the kitchen and adjacent areas. The laundry was relocated to the garage, where there was more available space, allowing the kitchen footprint to expand and feel more open and intentional.

Additional windows were introduced to bring in more natural light, further transforming the feel of the space. Cabinetry, materials, and finishes were selected to create depth and subtle contrast, resulting in a kitchen that feels layered, warm, and full of character without feeling overly designed.

The result is a kitchen that feels both elevated and highly livable, with a stronger sense of flow and a more thoughtful relationship between function and design.
