This Corona Del Mar home design takes a soft transitional approach that leans warm and welcoming, balancing earthy tones, subtle contrast, and layered materials. The goal was to create spaces that feel relaxed and livable while still carrying a sense of refinement, drawing from the home’s Mediterranean bones without pushing too far in that direction.
The design centers on the main living areas, including the kitchen, living room, dining area, and guest bath, with an emphasis on creating a cohesive flow from one space to the next. Cabinetry, finishes, and furnishings were selected to feel clean and timeless, while still introducing texture and character through natural materials, soft patterns, and thoughtful detailing.
In the kitchen, a lighter palette is grounded by warm wood tones and subtle variation in finishes, creating depth without heaviness. The adjoining living and dining spaces continue that approach, layering upholstery, lighting, and decorative elements in a way that feels collected and comfortable rather than overly styled.
Throughout the home, the design focuses on achieving a balance between simplicity and warmth, allowing each space to feel approachable while still considered. The overall result is a home that feels calm, layered, and inviting, with a quiet sense of character that supports everyday living.
